Project Description

Proposal to remove the requirement for a 1-hour fire-rated enclosure around the elevator shafts by implementing controls such as the minimization of fire loads adjacent to elevator shafts, installing smoke detectors in the top of shafts, fire separating shafts from service floors, and installing laminated glazing to limit the potential for glazing failure under heating stresses.
