Project Description

Fire Damage Repair - ONLY: Scope of work is limited to repair (replacement of some floor joist due to fire, see drawing A-02 and letter dated 09 August 2021 by JK Engineering) of existing portions of the damaged building system(s) by matching existing and restoring to pre-existing condition. THIS PERMIT AND REVIEW IS LIMITED TO REPAIRS TO THE AREAS DAMAGED BY FIRE ONLY AND DOES TO CONSTITUDE ANY OTHER APPROVALS. The performance level of the building after the repair shall be at least equal to the performance level of the building prior to the repair, by matching existing conditions, and shall not create an unhealthy environment in the building, as per OBC Part 11.3 requirements. Structures and Uses identified as existing conditions on this building have not been reviewed for compliance with the OBC, nor have they been verified or approved.[Proposal for interior alterations, replacement of damaged second floor joists and a new HVAC system.]
