Project Description
This Alternative Solution Proposal (ASP) aims to provide a rationale for utilizing the construction requirements based on the 2024 Ontario Building Code for the use of Mass Timber Construction requirements for the building located at 428-430 Royal York Road in Toronto, Ontario. It is proposed to limit the amount of encapsulation required by the code. As part of this ASP, the intent is that the building will be designed and constructed in accordance with the requirements of the 2024 Ontario Building Code, O.Reg. 203/24.A building permit has been issued for the project based on 2012 OBC, O.Reg.332/12 as amended.
