Project Description

It is proposed to install turnstiles at the perimeter of the elevator lobbies located on the Ground and ConcourseLevels. In specific, turnstiles will be located along the perimeter of the overall area of Elevator Bank A, B, C, and D,totaling to six (6) sets of turnstiles. In this configuration, occupants will require an access card or other authorizingdevice to activate and travel through the turnstiles to reach an elevator.The automatic turnstiles are optical portal gates designated SlimLane 940 and 950 produced by Automatic SystemsAmerica Inc. 100 King Street West intends to use the SlimLane Optical Portals to provide secure access capabilitiesto the building¿s office floors.This alternative solution with respect to the approach to application of the Code demonstrates that the mode ofoperation of these automatic turnstiles (optical portal gates) will not delay or impede persons from moving to a safelocation during an emergency and they will meet or exceed all of the applicable barrier-free requirements of theCode.Please refer to the report dated September 17, 2025.
