Project Description

There are currently 5 steel pedestrian bridges in poor condition providing access to Calumet Residence. Rather than repair and replace the bridges, YorkU plans to permanently close the bridges for use. Through a code analysis with our code consultant, they have deemed that the closure of these bridges will not reduce the exit capacity to a non-compliant condition, and they have recommended we obtain a building permit to avoid any future concerns.
