Project Description

The subject building is required to be of non-combustible construction. Except OBC 3.1.5.5.(1) permits combustible components within exterior wall assembly provided the the building is not more than 3 storeys high in an unsprinklered building or not more than 6 storeys high where the building is sprinklered and the exterior wall assembly is tested per the requirements of CAN/ULC-S134. It is proposed to utilize Alpolic FR ACM panel in underside of the breezeway ceiling located on the ground floor. The OBC does not address combustible ceiling components in the building exterior. It is proposed to treat the panel similar to an exterior wall assembly. Therefore, this alternative is proposed to highlight compliance with OBC 3.1.5.5.(1). The Alpolic FR ACM panel has been tested to CAN/ULC-S134.
