Alternative Solution for floor openings of 18.5 m2 for the communication stairs in Group D occupancies between the 31st to 39th, floors within the building located at 141 Bay St.THE PROPOSED DESIGN OF TENANT SPACE INCLUDES CONSTRUCTION OF THREE OPEN CONVENIENCE STAIRS BETWEEN 31ST AND 33RD FLOORS; 34TH AND 36TH FLOORS; AND 37TH AND 39TH FLOORS. EACH CONVENIENCE STAIR WILL CONNECT THREE STOREYS THROUGH TWO STAIR FLIGHTS. OPENINGS ARE NOT PROPOSED AT 34TH AND 37TH FLOOR ASSEMBLIES. THE PROPOSED CONVENIENCE STAIRS CREATE THREE SEPARATE INTERCONNECTED FLOOR SPACES WITHIN THE BUILDING. THE ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION PROPOSAL (ASP) PREPARED TO ADDRESS THE PROVISIONS OF FLOOR OPENINGS AND DISCUSS THE FEATURES WHICH ARE DESIGNED TO PROTECT THE FLOOR OPENINGS OF THE COMMUNICATION STAIRS WITHIN THE CPP INVESTMENT TORONTO SUITE LOCATED AT THE ABOVE-NOTED ADDRESS. SO THAT OPEN STAIRS ARE PERMITTED AND THE REQUIREMENTS OF ARTICLES 3.2.8.3., TO 3.2.8.11. ARE WAIVED.
