Project Description

Proposed alternative solutions related to 22 193154 BLD 00 NB (block C), 22 200280 BLD 00 NB (block D) and 22 193961 BLD 00 NB (block E) related for providing 65 mm diameter standpipe hose connections within the exit stairs (and as required on the floor areas for additional coverage purposes) in lieu of traditional fire hose cabinets (containing 38 mm and 65 mm connections and 30 m of fire hose) for the proposed building to be located at 1141 Bloor Street West and 980 Dufferin Street in Toronto, Ontario. This correspondence has been prepared with respect to the fire and life safety requirements in Part 3 of the 2012 Ontario Building Code (OBC, O.Reg. 332/12 as amended to O.Reg. 451/22) as well as the Alternative Solution Proposal requirements in Division C, Article 2.1.1.1 of the OBC.References within this correspondence are with respect to the floor designations as identified on the Block D architectural drawings issued for ASI #65 on April 5, 2024, Block E , Block C, and the underground parking garage architectural drawings dated issued for ASI #54 code revisions on February 2, 2024.
