Alternative Solution for The original building made us of 3.4.2.5.(2) for unlimited travel distance provided exits are spaced along the perimeter no more than 60m apart. The temporary layout subdivides the floor for security purposes, but this results in localized areas of extended travel distance (85m). The alternative solution demonstrates safe egress is still maintained due to the 8m tall ceilings and the 24/7 security who will double as fire watch. The alternative solution is similar to 3.4.2.5.(1)(d) (105m travel distance served by 9m wide public corridors, permitted due to 4m tall ceilings).
