Project Description

Proposed that the distance from the fire department vehicle to the laneway shipping container structure be permitted to extend up to approximately 72 m, where the fire department vehicle is within 45 m of a fire hydrant. With the provision of passive protection via increased spatial separation and exposure protection measures with visual indication of the building via an exterior strobe on the laneway side, it will be demonstrated that the level of life safety and fire protection provided for the Project will meet or exceed the intent of the applicable code requirements of the Ontario Building Code.
