Project Description
Alternative Solution contains rationale to support a design of the proposed indoor and outdoor amenity pool located on the ground floor of the new development located at 110-120 Broadway Ave. The pools will be classified as class B public pools as described in the OBC. Each pool will have a pool depth of 1.25 m, the dimenision for each pool vary and are further described in the letter prepared by Jensen Hughes dated September 27/2023. To compensate for the non-compliant configuration of the pool deck located between indoor and oudoor pools, it is propsed to provide two 5.0 m rescue poles for each pool. The 5.0 m rescue pools will be capable of reaching all portions of the pool. The proposed alternative solution is based on the objective and functional statements attributed to the applicable acceptable solutions of the objective based 2012 Ontario Building Code.
