Project Description

The Alternative Solution proposal illustrates that the intent of the OBC is met where smoke dampers are omitted from air supply transfer openings in the residential public corridors, based on the functional statements and objectives attributed to the requirements for smoke dampers in the OBC and the permissions included for systems that are required to function as part of a smoke control system (clarified in the amendment as "are required to function as part of an air handling system used to provide make-up air in accordance with sentence 3.2.6.2.(5.1), or any other system used to limit smoke movement").
