Project Description

To maintain the continuity of the 1 h fire separation the following fire stopping details are proposed for where the CLT floor panels meet:1.Where there is gap of up to 3/8 inch between CLT floor panels the gap is to be filled from the top side with fire stop sealant in accordance with drawing number NS09122007.2.Where there is gap of more than 3/8 inch and up to 3 inch between CLT floor panels the gap is to be filled with packing material and fire stop sealant in accordance with drawing number NS08022044.3.Where there is no gap between CLT floor panels and top side application is possible drawing number NS09122007 Rev B can be followed, with either a ½ inch diameter bead of sealant applied on the top side or a gap routed out and ½ inch deep fire sealant flush with the top of the CLT floor panel.4.Where there is no gap between CLT floor panels and top side application is not possible drawing number NS09122007 Rev C can be followed. With a 1-inch-deep sealant recessed 2 inches from the bottom side of the CLT floor panel. A nominal 2-inch-deep wood plug to be installed flush with the bottom side of the CLT floor panel.5.Where there is no gap between CLT floor panels the point where the CLT floor panels meet is to be provide with fire stop sealant from the underside. Followed by two layers to 6 inch wide 5/8 inch Type X gypsum wall board.
