Project Description
The proposed scope of work includes rooms where animals are housed. In order to mitigate disruption to the health of the animals within the proposed rooms, we are proposing an alternative solution that would provide a visual only fire alarm system the use of 15 candela (cd) strobes. NPFA 150 Fire and Life Safety in Animal Housing Facilities (2022) provides a compliance path for notification in animal occupied areas in sections 9.4.5, and 9.4.5.2 with the approval of the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
