Project Description

The east elevation of the 46 storey sprinklered office building is curved on the vertical axis with the central storeys projecting further outwards than the lower and upper storeys. The 14th to 28th floors will have limiting distances slightly less than required for the proposed unprotected openings. Compensating construction will consist of closely spaced sprinklers extending the full width of the east elevation on the subject storeys. Operation of closely spaced sprinklers will create a water curtain reducing the transmission of radiant energy venting to the exterior and the corresponding risk of fire propagation to an adjacent building.
