Project Description
Alternative Solution - it is proposed to provide 65MM standpipe system hose valve connections in general conformance with the 2015 National Building Code (NBC) and the 2013 edition of NFPA 14, 'Standard for installation of standpipe and hose system' (as reference by the NBC) in this building. The 65MM hose connections will be provided in lieu of hose stations (38MM and 65MM hose valves, 38 MM hose and nozzle) required by the 2012 Ontario Building Code. The standpipe system and hose connections will be located within exit stair enclosures. Note that scissor and non-scissor stairs are provided in the building.
