Project Description

Humber College Stop (HCS), located at 7932 ON 27, will be a terminus for the Finch West Light Rail Transit (FWLRT) line. HCS is classified as a rapid transit station conforming to the requirements of OBC Section 3.13. The station will have two at-grade entrance buildings connecting down to a below-grade platform. Per Section 3.13., the station will be noncombustible, and will not be sprinkler-protected throughout. The floor areas to the north and south of the platform will be utilized as ancillary (non-public) spaces and are proposed to house equipment, communications, and storage rooms as well as non-public washrooms and office spaces to be used by employees of the FWLRT line. Due to the linear layout of the station and the location of the exits in the open portion of the platform, travel distances to the nearest exit stairs leading to the entrance enclosures exceed the maximum travel distance of 30 m listed in OBC Sentence 3.4.2.5.(1) ancillary spaces as describe on application form:
