Project Description
The proposed Alternative Solution is to address the OBC requirements related to Fire department access routes that are requiredto be provided in accordance with Subsection 3.2.5 of the OBC. Sentence 3.2.5.5.(4) notes that, where a portion of a building isnot accessible internally from the remainder of the building, it must be located such that there is an unobstructed path of travelfrom the fire department response vehicle to one entrance within 45 m. As the coach house is an existing building, this value willbe exceeded in the proposed design by 8.6 meters.
