Project Description
Alternative Solution for three small floor openings in the subject building which does not comply with the configuration requirement per OBC 3.2.8.3. to be open into the interconnected floor space in lieu of terminating at vertical fire separations as required by OBC 3.2.8.1. A comparative study is conducted using CFD and egress modeling to demonstrate that the proposed design performs as well as an OBC acceptable solution.
